This story is from one of my teachers.
One day, she came home from work and her neighbor called her over. She walked over and her neighbor told her there was a kitten in the bushes, that some people had thrown it out of a car window. Ms. Nadolski (the teacher) looked in the bushes, and sure enough, there was an adorable little kitten. The kitten had a fat lip from hitting the bush, but luckily, had no other injuries. She brought the kitten in her house and gave it a little room to sleep in.
The next day, she brought it into school and put it in a large box with food, water, and warm blankets to sleep on. And of course, toys. She showed the kitten to all her students, and so many people were willing to take it home and give it a loving family.
In the end, the vet ended up taking it so there wouldn't be fighting among the students. The kitten (a girl) was named Lippy, and now has a loving, caring family.
I love the ending of this story. But I can't imagine why anyone would want to throw a kitten out of their car window!! It's horrible!! I'm soo glad my teacher had a good heart.

Someone in my old neighborhood once threw an entire litter of kittens onto the street as they were riding by on their bikes. My brother said he saw it happen. I don't know if any of them made it.
