Two and a half years ago, Alea, a stray cat, had kittens on our neighbors doorstep. Five of them. One was named Poppy. They could not find a home for her, so they kept her. Other than her, our neighbor found them all homes. The next year, Alea had another litter. Our neighbor had hoped to spay her by then, but had not been able to catch her. This second litter of kittens included Lucky, Shorty, Precious, America, and Midnight. Preciouse died (her story is in 'in memory of'. They all found homes. Finnally, Alea was spayed. Buuuuut, Poppy, her daughter from the first litter had kittens. They all found homes except for one, Burnet. Burnet and Poppy were spayed quickly afterward. Our neighbor now owns Alea, Poppy, Burnet and her origional two cats Tiger (who recently, read his sory in 'in memory of') and Marie. She hopes to find a home for Burnet and Poppy because she fears they aren't getting enough attention at her house. But, she will keep them if no homes can be found. I am so happy my neighboor was good to take responsibility of Aleas kittens, otherwise our neighboorhood would be overpopulated with cats, and sad to say, there might be a lot of roadkill
